As a kid, visiting my aunt and uncle in Brooklyn, I remember looking up at beautiful formations on the ceiling of buildings we perused on jaunts through the city. The diamond pattern of the ceiling repeated in every direction its reign harnessed only by elaborate crown molding. It was a texture so alluring I couldnt seem to draw my eyes away. Id later learn that style was a hold over
