Lifting off the top cover reveals a beautiful piece of engineering - the rotation of the speaker is emulated by a spinning disc surrounded by a ring of sensors

It is a 120v unit (Japanese unit converted from 100v)

One corner on the front has had a knock and been repaired with black tape
