Elegant Antique French Napoleon III 11.5” Writer’s Work Box, Ornate Boulle Inlay marquetry There is what looks like

There is what looks like a small chip to the left side of the front of the box

which was often how they were originally worn

There are silversmith marks but I can't quite make them out

I have not seen this done before this one - unsure if it's from France (where we bought it) or from Italy

There is some wear-away to the gold feathering on handles of the 2 pitchers and here or there
