The finish on the hilt and the scabbard has toned to a gorgeous dark gray color. The brown ribbed bakelite grip plates are in very good condition. The mortise button works. There are waffenamts on the hilt etc. And speaking of the gorgeous scabbard, it retains its original finish, which has faded to look like a dark steel color. Someone has used this
